Folks,
Sorry I don't have more info on this one...but here's the situation:

  Sparc, SunOS4.1.4, krb5 beta6. Berkeley rdist v6.1.2,
unmodified...I grab tickets with kinit, and tell rdist on the command
line to use /krb5/bin/rsh instead of the normal rsh. This works under
my old krb4 installation...but any attempts to use the krb5beta6 kshd
(with old krb4 rsh clients, or with /krb5/bin/rsh) just hangs after
starting the pass. I can rsh around manually all day...the stuff
works wonderfully...is there some sort of tty mode stuff going on in
there within rdist that could be causing this?

It's easy to duplicate...grab a copy of berkeley rdist at
ftp://usc.edu/pub/rdist/rdist-6.1.2.tar.gz, build it (defaults are
fine), and tell it (with -P) on the command line to use /krb5/bin/rsh.

                             Thanks,
                              -Dave McGuire
