You didn't say what platform you were trying to compile Kerberos V4, but
the most likeliest problem is that you're using a platform which isn't
supported with our last released version of Kerberos V4 (we've been
spending all of our time working on Kerberos V5). You might try
Cygnus's version of Kerberos V4, which is called CNS, since it's been
updated to deal with newer platforms. You can get it from
ftp.cygnus.com.
