You didn't do anything wrong. The install productions for beta 5 aren't
very good shape, though. I think your problem is operating system
specific, and probably due to configure not being able to figure out
which install script to use. What OS were you trying to do the install
on?
The fastest way to fix things is to edit the Makefile directly, I'm
afraid. Sorry for the inconvenience!
