Please excuse my using this channel for a build help request, but I am
desperate for the four files promised in the Beta5 Windows readme file:

	   libkrb5.dll
	   libkrb5.lib
	   gssapi.dll
	   gssapi.lib

especially the GSS files. When I do the download, untar/unzip, make,
transfer, unzip, and nmake (MSVC 1.5) according to the readme file, my build
will not complete. There are many requests for non-DOS (8.3 characters)
filenames, and many files not found, indicating that I've gone off the
   tracks somewhere.

Make sure you're using a zip version 2.01; make sure that there weren't
any sort of errors about unknown options to zip when it was building
kerbsrc.zip. The requests for non-DOS filenames indicates that zip
didn't do a proper job of mangling the filenames for you.

Also, the current setup is extremely sensitive to using the proper
compilers; if you're not using the right ones, it won't work.
Unfortunately I'm not sure what the exact right set of tools are, but
I've cc'ed this message to someone who should hopefully be able to give
you a quick answer to that question. (It should really be in the readme
file, btw.)

Is there available a pre-built distribution for this stuff? I found the
V4 doswin zip file(s) in dist/940908.PC, but I need the V5 files with
   GSS.

Unfortunately, no there isn't. There may be after V5 leaves beta, but
for now, I want to restrict things to a source distribution only.
