[[please forward appropriately, if necessary, I think to Theodore
T'so. My apologies but the Emacs I was composing a reply in
crashed.]]
Sec 2.1, P.3:
The current text confounds the name of an application binary (rlogin)
and the name of a service (also rlogin).
It's just a picky point, but since ``{ \tt rlogin} service
daemons'' are usually called ``rlogind'', I think it would be less
confusing to to mention that explicitly.
Maybe using (yet) another font would help clarify things?
Sec: 2.6 , point 2.3: the text says `rlogin service program'.
To be consistent with earlier paragraphs, I think you should say
``rlogin service daemon''.
I agree it's obvious to someone who knows what's going on,
but isnt' that the point of documentation?
So far, I've simply skimmed the rest, not enough to comment on it. I
did think it might eventually be useful to have an introductory
session that skims over Kerberos, what it does, how the key exchanges
work, much as the v4 docs did. How tutorial are you trying to make
this?
Personally I would like to see more info on configuring KerberosIV
backward compatibility. I presume that in some future beta release,
the autoconf files will be such that this ``just works''?
