sy> I have a network composed of Sun Sparcs running solaris 2.4 and some
sy> P5s running BSDI 2.0 and 2.1. When I try a kinit -i from some certain
sy> sparcs, I get a "kinit: Time is out of bounds (krb_rd_req)" error while
sy> on some it works fine and on one perticular Sparc 5, it works some
sy> times, others it doesn't. Does anyone have a clue as to what would
sy> cause this?
sy> the kerberos server is a P5 running bsdi 2.1 and Kerberos IV
I think someone the other day had the same question... the answer, if I
am not too wrong is that there is a big time difference between the
login terminal and the Ticket server. There are a few utilities around
to get the network time and syncronise the timer at the terminal to that
of the network.
