Also, I believe Cygnus is or will soon be offering V5.
However, being too close to the MIT development team, I am not going to
offer any opinions or comparisons between the three (Cybersafe, Cygnus,
and OpenVision).

Can anyone give a status on Cygnus (hopefully freely distributable)
work on the V5 clients for various platforms? I'm especially
interested in V5 clients for Mac and PC (Win 3.1, Win 95, Win NT).
I couldn't find anything about V5 clients on the Cygnus web page.
An unrelated topic: for those of you who, like us, are worried about
migrating your V4 KDC data into a DCE secd, a Big Ten school is currently
studying the idea of putting V4 support into secd. This would be
quite a long time off, because it would probably involve two steps:
1) coding the changes and passing it back to OSF and 2) Having it
come out in an OSF release (maybe 2.0 in 1997?) and the DCE vendors
port and release it. It's also possible that this functionality
could be included in an ATO sometime this year. This is just a
"there is hope" message.
