Friends, romans, countrymen...
After getting incredibly frustrated and manually lopping off some of
the offending parts of various Makefiles that attempted to create backward
compatibility to version 4 and referenced files in several of the krb4
subdirectories off of the source tree (even though I SPECIFIED in the
configure not to do so), I was able to run a make all the way through (I
think), albeit not cleanly (there were frequent warnings).
I know this was probably a bad idea, especially since I simply ran
"make" over and over again upon crashes resulting from "fatal signal 11" and
other evil spirits. It seemed to bypass the offending parts each time I ran
make again, and I know this is like building a straw house, but the bottom
line is... it COMPILED. (Or so I'm assuming).
The question for me is, what to do now? As I stated earlier, I need
to use kerberos to authenticate modem access requests from remote frame
relays to a xyplex MAXserver 1608 terminal server. Unfortunately I haven't
the foggiest idea how to do this. Compiling was just step one... I can't
even figure out where it put most of the binaries, let alone how to set it
up to work with a Xyplex!
And so, yet once again, I make a desperate plea for help.
Thanks in advance to anyone who
responds,
