Yes, you're both right. Sorry about that; we were in a bit of a hurry
when we were putting together the patch distribution. The krb4 patch
instructions should be updated to state that
(a) you need to kill and restart your KDC after running fix_kdb_keys
and
(b) you need to do an immediate slave propagation so that your slave
kerberos servers get the correct keys.
We will be updating the instructions to state this. People who pick up
the patches before we have a chance to fix this should keep these two
caveats in mind.
