Hi,
I am also in the process of trying to set up a 1620 box to use kerberos
authentication to a server running on a Solaris 2.4 system. I've built
the kerberos 5 software on the Solaris box and I've even managed to add
my userid to the kerberos database and test it out as per the
installation manual.

On the Xyplex side, I **think** I've set up the correct info for it to
query the Kerberos server and I've enabled kerberos on a xyplex port.

I'm not sure however, what has to be running on the solaris box. There is
the krb5kdc database daemon, there is a sun supplied kerbd daemon and
I've set up an /etc/krb.conf file. Sun supply their own version of klist,
kinit and kdestroy, but I would have expected to have to use the versions
from the package I built.

Does anyone have a simple guide to setting up both the xyplex end and the
kerberos server end ?

any help would be appreciated

alex
