The hints from "William J. Shamblin" <wjs@nando.net>, "Mark W. Eichin"
<eichin@cygnus.com>, and "Larry J. Hughes Jr." <hughes@indiana.edu> were
correct. I needed the krb.conf file in my /etc directory even though I
installed in a non-standard directory.
