Thank you very much for your response.

I think I have the host table and /etc/nsswitch.conf set up okay. I'm not
using NIS and I think I have a subset of DNS installed that came with the
Solaris 2.4 install since I can do the nslookup command.

I have an entry in the Kerberos server host table for both my client and
server machines on which I execute the rsh command. It seems to find the
server host with no problem in every instance other than finding it from
Kerberos. My /etc/nsswitch reference is as follows:

hosts: dns [NOTFOUND=return] files

Again, thanks in advance for your assistance.

       Judy
