I have just completed a pair of programs: rkinit and rkinitd. As you
may guess, rkinit and rkinitd allow you to establish kerberos tickets
on a remote host safely (remote kinit). rkinit prompts for a password
and sends the necessary information to rkinit in an encrypted packet;
i.e., it eliminates the need for ever your password in the
clear across the network.
I am currently running rkinitd on both "vaxen" and RT's in two
kerberos realms and have not encountered problems so far.
If there is interest in this, I will post a copy of the manual pages
to this list.
