If your change is portable--that is, it tests something more
likely to be portable than the definition of SGI or IRIX or whatever
the SGI defines for its ptys, please send it to krb5-bugs@mit.edu so
we can include it. If you weren't able to find a portable test,
that's OK; I'll eventually be able to test under 5.3.
One question: why didn't the streams code before that pick up
that Irix has streams and totally avoid using the pty devices?
