I really don't know. Its a Xyplex router that supports Kerberos 4 and 5.
When Kerberos authentication is turned on, a dialin user is first prompted
for a username and password. This is checked against the defined Kerberos
Master server.
Since we're the phone company I'm not worried about the lines being secure
(as Sam pointed out). We are considering having a remote access site that
is carried through another network provider thus I'm concerend about someone
being able to view the packets of the router validating a user on the
master server over "open net".
