I apologize if this question is frequently asked. Is there any information
around on getting Kerberos 5 to talk to DCE servers?
We have an AIX DCE server (recent field test stuff) and I have been trying
to get it to talk to an MIT beta 5 client. They evidently don't agree on
protocol: while decoding the response, the client complains about unexpected
ASN.1 tags, especially at variable length items. The client's on Ultrix.
So far all I've found is a claim to the effect that where they intersect,
i.e. UDP to port 88, they're identical. I think that was intended in the
theoretical sense, where "identical" means there are no known insurmountable
obstacles to interoperability.
