Greetings all,
We are in the process of implementing a campus wide authentication system,
and are having some problems getting our Xyplex 1600 terminal server
(firmware v5.3.1S10) to authenticate users using PPP (Point to Point Protocol).
It seems to work fine for a simple Telnet session, but it doesn't even
seem to try to contact the Kerberos server before it allows an unauthenticated
PPP session.
We were assured by Xyplex that their terminal server supports PAP (PPP
Authentication Protocol), however I'm looking for independent confirmation
of this, and/or other suggestions as to what might (or might not) be happening.
Thank you for your time!
- Frank
