Hi All,
I installed Kerberos V on a Solaris x86 2.4 box. Installation went smooth but
I have been having problems running sample client/server and also changing
Kerberos password from a Xyplex terminal server which
supports Kerberos V. When I run sclient on the KDC I get the following errors:
sclient: Software caused connection abort while using sendauth.
sserver: recvauth failed -- Bad file number
I have the appropriate entries in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf to test the
sample server. The truss output of sclinet shows numerous ERR#25 ENOTTY.
Here is a sample:
open("/etc/hosts", O_RDONLY) = 3
fxstat(2, 3, 0x080477AC) = 0
ioctl(3, TCGETA, 0x08047780) Err#25 ENOTTY
read(3, " #\n # I n t e r n e t".., 8192) = 219
lseek(3, 0xFFFFFF99, SEEK_CUR) = 116
close(3) = 0
open("/etc/hosts", O_RDONLY) = 3
fxstat(2, 3, 0x08047888) = 0
ioctl(3, TCGETA, 0x0804785C) Err#25 ENOTTY
read(3, " #\n # I n t e r n e t".., 8192) = 219
We also have Xyplex terminal servers that support Kerberos V. I can log into
Xyplex terminal servers with no problem. When I try to change my Kerberos
password from Xyplex, I get the following errors on Kerberos server:
Jun 22 14:01:35 xyplex Xyplex Unable to connect TCP session for socket bc6df0
As a user logged into the KDC, I can issue kpasswd and change my password with
no problem. kadmin also works without any problems on the KDC server. Any ideas
on what is causing these problems? Is it a Solaris 2.4 problem rather than Kerberos V?
Thanks in advance.
Girish
