OK, I've added kadmin using ark, e.g. my database looks as follows now:

kdb5_edit: ldb
entry: krbtgt/COMPANY.COM@COMPANY.COM
entry: kadmin/COMPANY.COM@COMPANY.COM
entry: machine/machine.company.com@COMPANY.COM
entry: sample/machine.company.com@COMPANY.COM
entry: sbk/admin@COMPANY.COM
entry: K/M@COMPANY.COM
entry: sbk@COMPANY.COM

And I get the following error message when I try to run sclient:

bin/sclient: Server not found in Kerberos database while using sendauth

I am logged in as "sbk" on the Unix box MACHINE.COMPANY.COM, I have run
kinit and I can see myself via klist. MACHINE is running krb5kdc,
e.g. MACHINE is the KDC, the sample server, and the sample client. (I
figured that this was the simplest scenario for a test environment, I'm
a big believer in KISS.) It seems to me that this line -- "entry:
sample/machine.company.com@COMPANY.COM" proves that the sample server
machine is, indeed, available in the Kerberos database. So what am I
doing wrong?

Thoughts?
