I rebuilt my X11R6 tree with Kerberos 5 support enabled but have been
so far unable to configure a setup that successfully uses it. It looks
like there are two kinds of strings you can put in the .Xauthority
file. One string has a prefix of "UU:" which I assume is "user to user"
and the other has a prefix of "CS:" which probably means
"client/server" or "client service" (there are basically zero comments
in the source). I've found at least two bugs that will crash either the
server or the client if you put the wrong stuff in the .Xauthority
file...
Can anyone give some examples from a working configuration? Or a
pointer to relevant documentation? I assume there's a paper about this
somewhere but I couldn't find anything.
