Did you give kdb_init the same realm name as this indicates it is
finding in krb.conf? A kdb_util dump will show you the entries -- note
that realm names are case sensitive. You should see an entry for
krbtgt FURMAN.EDU
in the output.

Actually, our installation support service is *significantly* more
expensive than that :-) But so are everyone else's; we may be the only
ones with install documentation up on the web, though (which I believe
makes clear the case sensitivity issue.)
