I've been having a peculiar, & it appeared, transient problem with the
kerberos 5 beta 5 rlogin on SunOS & Solaris. The client attempts to
rlogin in to the server, a Krlogin starts on the server, but nothing
happens. The rlogin appears to hang, the new session never starts, &
the server machine never logs a new login process. Killing the
Krlogin kills the rlogin connection, & the message that appears as
rlogin dies seems to indicate that authentication hadn't completed.
Nothing is logged on the kdc machine. I think I understand when this
happens, at least in part; the local tg ticket must just have expired
(around an hour earlier). I don't know yet whether it's reproducible
this way, but getting a new ticket seems to make Krlogin happier.
