[5231] in Kerberos

I am trying to install a client, and have been running into the follwoing
problem. I go through the whole process, editing krb.conf krb.realms,
etc...
I get around to kinit and get the following message.
Kerberos initialization on parsifal
Kerberos name: wjs
kinit: Can't send request (send_to_kdc) for principal wjs@error-default-realm
We have a server running on another machine that already authenticates
for our terminal servers, and we are trying to unify under kerberos.
Any ideas??
