I am looking for a simple alternative to the
complicated procedure of using Kerberos on a Unix
platform. I have been through the procedure of
installing it(download source, try compile, hack the
code till it does compile) once on a Sun workstation.
A frustrating experience (for someone without a Unix
development backround) at best. We sell Xyplex
terminal servers, and our clients want individual
account security for dial-up PPP sessions.As you know
time is MONEY and usually the time spent setting up
Kerberos on the clients Unix platform makes it
uneconomical to sell a termminal server for PPP
dial-up with security.
Does anyone know of a simpler platform to set up a
Kerberos server (e.g. dedicated old 286/386 PC with
Kerberos compiled under DOS C).
Any help would be most appreciated ...
