I've been trying unsuccessfully for over a month to get kerberos
v 5 beta 4 up on USL Unix V rel 4.2 ver 1.1.3.
This is the Unix that comes from Novell, albeit a slightly dated
version.
Has anyone out there implemented kerberos on this unix?
I've received some (general) suggestions from Ted Ts'o, Ed Phillips,
and Lenny Miceli, and although these have helped to pinpoint the
problem, I still can't get kinit to talk to the KRC.
After kicking off the server, I run kinit. It comes back with:
kinit: Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm while
getting credentials
The server is successfully listening on ports 88 & 750 [checked via
netstat | fgrep '(88|750)' ], but with the aid of a stub program
I can detect that kinit isn't *talking* to these ports.
Does anyone have any experience with sockets, their ports, and USL
unix?
Thank you in advance!
