I have just built, installed, and configured Kerberos 5 beta 5 (with
special thanks to Paul Park, pjpark@mit) on one of my SUNs.
My initial tests with the DECserver 700 have been unsuccessful. I am
running DEC's Network Access Software v1.4.
Someone mentioned that they thought NAS 1.4 and the 700 had to have
Kerberos 4 in order to work, in terms of authentication.
Thus, my question is a simple one:
* what Kerberos version (and what platform) are people running for
validation of their DECserver 700s?
* is there anyone who successfully got it to work with Kerberos 5b5??
(If so, could you share some secrets?? :) I know about the backward
compatibility bit, but would prefer one or two testimonials first...
Thanks,
Arthur
