B4-3 definitely had this problem (from reap_child or whatever it's
called and also the fake syslog stuff).  However, I built Beta5
with gcc-2.6.3 on an HP-UX 9.03 machine and have not seen the
problem.  Are you using the latest sources?  With B5, I got the kadmind
working very easily (which is unfortunately more than I can say for,
say, rlogind).
