Okay, here we go again. It would be " more constructive " to produce
a distribution that compiles without error on linux :-) I have not
seen nor heard anyone flame any authors. What I am seeing is a
continued "out of the box" battle. There is no battle, The linux
part of the K distribution does not make without numberous linker
errors.
Just because it compiles for your libs, does not mean it compiles for
everyone. For example, these FLEXLIBS etc are not 100 percent portable
but the make file uses them and this causes error.
This code needs to be ported more cleanly to linux. I am lost why
people keep the fan on the fire with statments above. No one is flaming
authors here. The *holes are the people who defend the "make out of
the box" axiom and apply it like a shotgun and defend it with zeal.
K for Linux might compile for many, but it has errors in the makefile
that cause it not to compile for many other. This is not my defination
of "makes out of the box". AND since, i claim to be the one who
coined the phrase, i can define what it means ;-)

"A distributions that has a short README file that, if read and followed,
produced a clean and painless set of binaries that work as advertised.
The distribution makes without errors in all phases of the process without
endless, pointless debates on USENET"
