Well, I've done the things that Mr. Studarius suggests in his homepage
documentation.
My krb.conf and krb.realms files should be correct. However, when I try to run
sclient (as suggested):
# /krb5/bin/sclient igi
/krb5/bin/sclient: Software caused connection abort while using sendauth
I tried this from both igi (IRIX) and boone (LINUX) with the same result.
igi is the machine which runs the sserver and the krb5kdc ... I can't get
tickets from that machine -- it always yields the following error:
# /krb5/bin/kinit boone
Password for boone@PREP.NET:
kinit: Cannot find KDC for requested realm while getting initial credentials
when I try it from boone (LINUX), I get the following error
# /krb5/bin/kinit boone
Password for boone@PREP.NET:
kinit: Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm while getting initial
credentials
here is my /krb5/krb.conf
---------------------
PREP.NET
PREP.NET igi.prep.net admin server
and my /krb5/krb.realms
---------------------
.PREP.NET PREP.NET
PREP.NET PREP.NET
However, if I try to run the krb5kdc from boone instead, it works
fine for boone, but igi still can't find the KDC....
hmmmm.....????
