It is possible if you replace cpp -- but finding a truly free and
distributable cpp that is sufficient for the kerberos imakefiles is
*really* hard; I found one once, and patched it some to get it to
deal.

The *right* way to solve the problem is to throw imake out the
window. The Cygnus Network Security V4 release has used "configure" for a
couple of years; look at http://www.cygnus.com/ for details on how to
get it (ie how to comply with the ITAR and such...)
