Seriously, though, the only real point of contention I've seen here is
what is/isn't included in the vendor portion of the FAQ. Perhaps the
best way to deal with it is to drop that section altogether, or just
reduce it to a list of vendor-maintained URLs where those interested
can obtain further information.
Vendors who monitor comp.protocols.kerberos would do well to remember
that the newsgroup is bi-directionally gatewayed to the kerberos@mit.edu
mailing list, and many who subscribe to the list don't want advertisements
in their mailboxes. Requests of the type "where can I buy Kerberos version
X for Frobnotz boxes?" are probably best replied to in private E-mail,
not to the entire list. Just a suggestion...
