kerberos with Eudora

I was recently told that the new beta version of freeware Eudora (1.5.2b9)
for the Mac can be used with Kerberos. I therefore got a copy of this, and
installed Authman and kclientman and have been trying to use them with
Eudora. It seems that whether I have an authorized ticket or not is not
relivant to Eudora, and that Eudora is behaving identically to the old
version.
I also installed the Eudora Kerberos Settings in the same file with Eudora.
And these do show up in the settings menu.
Is there something else that has to be set in Eudora, or in Authman to get
this combination to work? Will this combination not work at all, and I was
given wrong information?
Any other information would be helpful.
