How did you come to this conclusion about AFS?  There are plenty of
people using AFS (or at least the smart ones are - okay, start flaming
me :) and I don't think it is going away anytime soon.  Seriously, I
just came back from DECORUM and AFS is alive and well and IMHO it is
the best choice today for a distributed file system.
