Hi all,
I recently planned to install Kerberos (preferred V) on my system.
Since i live outside the US i can't get the standard Distribution including
the DES Library due to the US Export Restriction on Cryptographic Systems.
As far as i know this restriction covers the DES Encryption stuff in Kerberos ?
I know that there exists an bones package from MIT with all the DES Stuff
removed and even with the appropriate calls to DES within Kerberos taken out.
Since there is a DES encryption library publically available outside US
implementing even a superset of DES Encryption concerning the des_dea stuff
i'm now looking for an even stripped down version of Kerberos which leaves the
calls to DES intact so i just can slip in the public DES Library.
The Question is now:
Does anyone now of such a stripped down Version of Kerberos available outside
US which is not covered by US Export Laws ??
If such a package exists could anybody please give me a hint how and where i can get
it ?
Do there also exist Kerberos Libs conforming to Version V of the protocol ?
Any help appreciated
