Ok, so I was thinking further about Kerberos5 exportability
requirements. If I'm right, the only things that need to be gutted are
the des stuff in libcrypto and the actual des stuff in libdes425. md4,
md5, and crc32 are all not cryptographic, to the best of my
understanding.

Further, there are already gutted implementations of libdes available
(bones) which could in theory be dropped into the relevant places,
though I haven't checked as to how this will work yet. That being done,
all that should need to happen is for me (or someone) to make this
freely available on the net in order for it to be exportable.

Does anyone see holes in this?
