If you have seen this post recently, I apologize for reposting -
I have Kerberos V5 Beta 4 installed on a Solaris box. I can use kinit
and klist with no problems but as soon as I try to do a kadmin or
kpasswd command, I get the following:
% kadmin
Password for cdp/admin@NJIT.EDU:
Unable to Get Initial Credentials : Server not found in Kerberos database!
% kpasswd
Old password for cdp@NJIT.EDU:
Unable to Get Initial Credentials : Server not found in Kerberos database
-1765328377
Protocol Failure - Password NOT changed
The syslog entry reads:
krb5kdc[312]: AS_REQ: Server not found in Kerberos database while processing
request from cdp/admin@NJIT.EDU fo
There are the "default" (K/M and krbtgt) entries in the database (by kdb5_edit)
and a cdp and cdp/admin. ksu works as it should but no go on kpasswd -
Any ideas on what the problem is (how do I get the server into the database) ?
Is there a book or doc that anyone would recommend ?
Thank you -
