In Kerberos IV the krb.conf file specified what machine had the admin server
running by having the words 'admin server' after the machine name. With
Kerberos V the first machine for a the realm in krb.conf is assumed to be
the admin server and any specific designation of an admin server is ignored.
Is there any reason why KV was changed in this fashion? If not, can this
functionality be added back in?
