Ok, here's an update: We had to get the linux code from sunsite.unc.edu,
because it includes zephyr with it, and all of it compiles without too
much hardship. The code straight from mit is absolutely the worst
distribution of anything I have ever seen, because they use Imakefiles
that have custom rules (rules other than the standard X Window System rules),
and they just flat out don't work. The linux stuff uses BSD makefiles.
Also, there are differences in linux kerberos and mit kerberos, we got
undefined symbols when using linux zephyr and gatekeeper kerberos. So,
we compiled linux kerberos, and linked it with linux zephyr. We still
used gatekeeper kerberos to get tickets, because we had hacked it to
give us the time that it wanted. That time is: 782958349. Period.
It is stuck on that time.
Why? Is there some problem with byte order or somesuch? Some other problem
with kerberos that NCSU hacked? Has anybody ever heard of such a problem?
BTW, we did define the correct symbols to have kerberos be in the right
byte order. I noticed that compares are done in lsb order as opposed to
native msb. Could this be a problem?
If I set my clock to the same time as the messed up servertime, we can
successfully get tickets. Yeah! Now to clear up this time glitch.....
