This is probably because you have /tmp configured as a tmpfs
filesystem.   tmpfs on SunOS 4.1.3 does not support flock() or fcntl
locking, which the Kerberos credentials cache code requires.

A workaround is to set the KRB5CCNAME environment variable to point to
a world-writable (mode 1777) directory somewhere on a regular unix
filesystem (NOT on an NFS filesystem!).
