I finally got around to tossing our appl/bsd/* sources from Kerberos 5
Beta 3 onto our anonymous FTP server. Hopefully this is still useful
to someone.
Host ftp.arl.mil, anonymous FTP, file pub/krb5-bsd.tar (675k)
What we did was start with the latest Berkeley sources, and upgraded
them to function with Kerberos 5. The RLOGIN and RLOGIND support,
in particular, are much improved. Also, it is possible to use this
software without having to replace the system-provided /bin/login binary
if you don't mind an extra check through .rhosts. For some systems,
this is very useful.
I can also post source diffs for the vendor /bin/login on SunOS 4.1.*
and SGI Irix 4.0.5, although I can not post the complete sources
(obviously). If you really need a Kerberized /bin/login for SunOS
4.1.*, (and you trust *me*) I suppose I can make our local binary
available.
Again, I'm sorry this took so long to get out. Overwhelmed by other
events. I hope it is still useful to somebody.
Best,
-Mike Muuss
