Well, I'm new to the Kerberos stuff, and these questions will most
likely sound incredibly nieve to you Kerberos gurus out there, but
much appreciation if you'd lend me a hand :):
1) How do I 'add a server' to the database? For V4, I'd make a
srvtab, but I don't see a srvtab maker program int he V5B4-2
distribution (do I need to fetch one from an earlier version, or is it
done differently now?)
2) The telnetd that the huge make thing compiles I assume will log
someone in using their Kerberos password (which may differ from the
one stored in /etc/passwd if any, yes?) and give them tickets. Now,
when I tried to do this, telnetd showed me the login prompt and would
take no input. :) I'm going to take a big leap and guess that that's
not supposed to happen. My question is.. do I need to pass any
special parameters along to telnetd from inetd.conf to tell it to use
Kerberos?
3) krlogind - Based on what I've seen, I'm guessing this can service
both the rlogin and klogin ports, depending on parameters. Will it
retrieve Kerberos tickets for a logging-in user in both circumstances?
Thanks a million to anyone who can shed some light on this newbie in
the dark. :)
