We've been building/testing (as of beta4 anyway) on:
DECmips/Ultrix 4.2a (athena)
SPARC SunOS 4.1.3 (vendor)
SPARC Solaris 2.3 (vendor)
RS/6000 AIX 3.2.5 (athena)
The "athena" versions are sometimes "special" but the "vendor"
versions are out-of-the box (though we sometimes test with and without
the GNU tools.) It turns out that Ultrix and Solaris are nearly
orthagonal :-) though I'll note that the const problem in the last
release wasn't caught earlier because gcc only warned about it, and
ultrix native cc should under no circumstances be mistaken for a C compiler...
As soon as the disk space shows up, I'll be adding (at Cygnus) a whole
bunch of additional platforms... though that might not happen before
the next patch comes out.
