In the FAQ for Kerberos, Question 1.8 says that DEC's version of
Kerberos is a cut down version of Kerberos version 4.
The last paragraph then says :-
} These changes make it annoying but not impossible to use DEC ULTRIX
} Kerberos in the normal way. However there is no reason at all to do
} so, because the MIT distribution supports ULTRIX directly. [This may
} not be completely true. I imagine that using ULTRIX Kerberos for
} enhanced security and MIT's Kerberos at the same time would cause
} problems. Has anyone tried this?]
My questions are:
Can you replace the ULTRIX Kerberos with the MIT Kerberos?
Can you run Kerberos v 5 on ULTRIX?
Is kerberos 4 & 5 directly supported on the MIT release?
Has anyone got Kerberos running under ULTRIX 4.3?
Any help would be greatfully received.
