I am using Kerberos Version 4 on an HP NetServer (i486) running
SCO 3.2v4.2. When I use the kadmin program to create or change
the password of a user the kadmind process generates a zombie
process. This is a big problem when I need to create over 3000
users each time a new semester is started (the process table
fills up very quicky with zombie processes. Has anyone encountered
this problem before? Am I missing a patch to correct this problem?

I noticed that the zombie is only created after the second attempt
to create or change the user password. I am looking at the code
to determine if there is a problem in the killing of child processes
by kadmind. On the first attempt the admin log indicates that the
child was killed. On subsequent attempts the log does not indicate
the child was killed (generates term/sig message). If I am able to
figure out what is causing this I will post the results.
