Hi,

I have a Kerberos 4 database I coverted to use under Kerberos 5, using
Kerberos 5 beta4 patchlevel 1, with the signals.c module removed from
the isode code so it would work on my SPARC. Kerberos 4 kinit works, as
does evrything I've tried, except:
v4kadmind, when you try to change your password, fails:
./kpasswd -u shadow@DEMENTIA.ORG
Old password for shadow@DEMENTIA.ORG:
New Password for shadow@DEMENTIA.ORG:
Verifying, please re-enter New Password for shadow@DEMENTIA.ORG:
./kpasswd: Checksum does not match while attempting to change password.
Password NOT changed.
I traced the code to kadm_ser_wrap.c, and syslogged the checksums:
v4kadmind[5950]: got: ncksum 1252829193 ad.checksum 119494686

I don't think I understand this block of code; so, does this work for
anyone, or do I just lose, or what?

Also, what principal do I need to create for kerberos 5 kpasswd to work?
I did this once before; Now I forget.

Thanks...
Derrick
