Has anyone managed to successfully run a Kerberos server on a HP 9000/715
running HPUX 9.01?
I've managed to get the latest version compiled(V5 BETA 4). krb5kdc seems
to be functioning the way it should. The problem starts when I try to use
kpasswd. On the client end I get:
Old password for ctrown@NET.CSUCHICO.EDU:
Read Message Error: Software caused connection abort!
Protocol Failure - Password NOT changed
kadmind reports:
adm_network: child 7896 not in list: termsig 0, retcode 0
adm_network: child 7895: termsig 11
adm_network: retcode 0
There is a core file, and xdb does confirm the termsig: segmentaion
violation. The stack trace doesn't make a whole lot of sense, however.
I had to fix an earlier problem with the order in which the wait() and
signal() calls are issued. With HPUX the signal() vector needs to be reset
AFTER the wait call. Goes into an infinite loop otherwise.
Any other HPUXers out there? Is a recompile with BSD compatability libs
in order? I tried that, and it didn't seem to work that well.
