This is a fairly wild shot, but based on the limited information you
provide, and the fact that I haven't seen any other suggestions, here
goes.  

When I was installing krb5 beta 3 on a SunOS 4.1.3 system I also had
problems with "make world."  It seems that I was running with
UseImakeInstalled, which seemed like a good choice since my system did
have imake installed, however, the version of imake that was installed
disrespected the -I flag for the really important files like
Imake.tmpl and Imake.rules.  I had to switch to the imake that came
with the kit.  I then also had to modify a rule (ImakeSubCmdHelper) in
Imake.rules to get recursive subdirectory building to work.
