We are trying to define an authentication system that is a superset of
Kerberos, and includes the use of session keys. It is our understanding that
the POSIX standard session key is 128 bits long. Elsewhere we have heard that
a much larger key (up to 2KB?) may become standard due to the advances in
public key decryption.
Is there a standard key size or format in Kerberos, or in any commercial
software based on Kerberos (e.g. Tivoli), or in any emerging authentication
standard that includes Kerberos (e.g. CAA)?
Thanks in advance....
