Caching_password__user_and_group_on_a_roaming_Debian_laptop.html
It looks like sssd and libpam-ccreds are tools for locally caching remote
authentication and authorization information to allow laptop users to log
in locally while disconnected from the network.
It's interesting stuff, but unfortunately I neglected to mention that I'm
also using OpenAFS, which means that the home directories are also
remote, so I really do need a network connection before I can log in.
