oh, it is, I looked. it looks like an interesting concept, if it works,
but it's alpha code...
I suppose I can probably shellscript my way around most of the major
hassles anyway....was just wondering if anyone else had been down that
road before I went and beat my head against the brick wall at the end
of the road...
which leads me to another question:
has anyone out there managed/bothered compiling the beta3 code
under solaris 2.3 with gcc? I've been knocking my head against
that particular wall for the past couple of weeks...got most everything
running now - the main code went together pretty well; it's the
bsd and telnet stuff that's been the major problem...and the
damn broken solaris gethostbyname() has caused me more grief...
(anyone want a libresolv for solaris that actually works right? :) )
I'll probably feel damn silly if I find out someone has already done
this, but...ah well.
(I know, I know, why not use the Sun C compiler in berk-compat mode,
well, I don't have it, so I've just been using gcc2.5.7. I wonder in
the back of my mind if the Cygnus gcc works with /usr/ucbinclude, but...
ah well, 'tis better to port to SVR4 and do without anyway I suppose.)
